Coinciding with the release of FIGS is Huxley Anne's directorial debut of the record's opening track, "Fury." The concept for the surrealist music video developed as she was preparing her first runway score for designer Radka Salcmannova’s 2018 collection at LAFW. This was the initiation point for the shaping of the EP, creating an immersive experience that set the tone for everything to follow. A striking statement that transforms the shackles of culture into something unbinding, Huxley Anne describes the process and depth of visionary thought that went into the conceptual formation of “Fury”:
“Fury” is the first act. It’s a record of a moment, thousands and thousands of years ago, a prologue setting the stage. An alternate mythology, one that takes a different turn. Distorted visions rise up from the Underworld, taking the shape of the Furies, dripping silicone from the Styx. Who is she, who are they, which is real?
Immersive and atmospheric, trippy, and very intense and interesting. See right through goes so incredibly hard, it feels like it caresses my lizard brain 3313
